According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp updates, the messaging app has redesigned the screen that appears when
scanning a QR code for the 'Companion Mode' feature, which enables usage on a secondary device.
Previously, a waiting alert would
display but now the new interface shows an estimated time for the process to complete.
The design is similar to the one used for
linking a WhatsApp account to WhatsApp Desktop. The update is currently being rolled out to select beta testers, with plans for
wider release in the near future. Additionally, WhatsApp is also working on an alert system that informs users of the option to
include captions when forwarding media and gives the option to remove captions before sending.
The new feature aims to give
users more control over the messages they send.
Beware of fake websites claiming to provide these codes in exchange for personal information. These codes grant players
free access to in-game items such as weapons, clothing, and diamonds. However, only the first 500 users will be able to
redeem them. To redeem the codes, players can go to their game vault on the game wall
and enter the code to receive gold bars and diamonds. Please note that Garena Free Fire Max, a battle royale game, has been banned in India.
There is growing concern about the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in China and its potential impact on India.
The Indian Health Ministry has directed states to send samples of positive cases to the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics
Consortium (INSACOG) to check for new and potentially concerning strains of the virus. The Health Minister has also
called for a review of the current Covid-19 situation in India. While India's official numbers currently show only
3,408 active cases and a high vaccination rate, there is a fear that new variants may be taking root due to a lack
of monitoring and mask mandates for public gatherings, and the removal of mask requirements at airports and railway
stations. It is also important to note that it may be several weeks before a noticeable spike or wave of cases is confirmed by health authorities.
There are concerns about a potential global impact of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in China, despite official
reports of low weekly death counts. It is believed that the easing of containment measures has led to a large portion
of the population lacking natural immunity to the virus. Some projections estimate that there could be up to a million
new cases in China in the coming days. It is important to note that long lockdowns are not effective in eliminating the
virus or preventing the emergence of new strains, and that vaccination is the most effective defense against severe disease.
China has largely relied on domestically developed vaccines using inactivated virus technology, such as CoronaVac and Sinopharm,
but the high vaccination rate has not prevented the current surge in cases. In India, it is important to not only identify the
prevalent coronavirus variants but also to determine whether the administered vaccines continue to be effective. While most
vaccines administered in India are the Covishield variant using the spike protein,
it may be necessary to adapt to changes in the virus. The sequencing of strains by INSACOG should not be solely an academic exercise.
Google recently announced plans to develop a system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and decipher
handwritten prescriptions written by doctors. This system is currently a research prototype and is not yet available
to the public. When it is rolled out, it will allow users to take pictures of their prescriptions or upload them from
their photo library, and the system will process the image and identify the medications mentioned in the prescription.
The system is intended to act as an assistive technology for digitizing handwritten medical documents, but it is not meant
to make decisions on its own. Google also announced plans to introduce a Multisearch feature that will allow users to search
by taking pictures or screenshots and adding text to their query, and a feature that will allow users
to search for specific moments within a YouTube video. These features will be available in several Indian languages,
including Hindi and Punjabi.

WhatsApp, a messaging platform owned by Facebook, has introduced a new feature called "Accidental delete" that aims to provide users with a safety net in case they accidentally delete a message they meant to keep or delete a message for themselves instead of for everyone in a group chat. This feature allows users to recover a message that was mistakenly deleted within a five-second window by clicking on the option to "Delete for Everyone." The "Accidental delete" feature is available on both Android and iPhone devices. This new feature follows the recent launch of "Message Yourself," a feature exclusive to India that allows users to send notes, reminders, and other updates to themselves in a 1:1 chat.

When you go to the direct messages section of
Instagram, you will see a list of notes from people who follow you or have
added you to their Close Friends list. You can scroll through these notes in a single line.
To add a note to your profile, go to your direct messages and click the "plus" icon on your profile picture.
You can add and delete notes as often as you want, and they will stay on your profile for up to 24 hours.
Other users can respond to your notes just like they can respond to a story.
On Instagram, users can create a list of "Close Friends" who have access to certain content that is not
shared with their entire list of followers. This Close Friends list is the same for both Instagram Stories
and Instagram Notes. However, there is a difference in how the content is displayed. When a Close Friends
story is posted, a green circle appears around the profile picture on the user's home feed to indicate that
the viewer is on the Close Friends list. In contrast, there is no visual indication in Instagram Notes that
a message has been sent only to the Close Friends list. If a user wants to confirm whether they are part of
someone's Close Friends list, they can go to the person's profile and look for the green "Following" label.
Since the launch of 5G in India in October this year,
more cities are quickly gaining support for the next-generation network. Both Airtel and
Jio now offer 5G coverage in many Tier-I areas, prompting some users to consider upgrading
to a 5G device for their next smartphone. However, it's important to note that simply having
a phone that supports 5G isn't enough – most brands also need to release software updates that
enable their phones to connect to and use the new network. Many brands have already released
such updates, allowing certain phones to be 5G-ready in India. Here is a detailed overview of
the brands and specific phones that are currently able to access 5G in the country.

The iPhone 15 Ultra is rumored to be the most expensive model in the upcoming iPhone 15 series, which is
expected to be released in 2023. According to reports, the iPhone 15 Ultra will be cheaper than the current
iPhone 14 Pro, which is currently sold for $1,299. Apple is rumored to be replacing the iPhone 15 Pro Max with
the iPhone 15 Ultra, potentially due to the success of the Apple Watch Ultra. The iPhone 15 Pro models are also
expected to feature USB-C 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 transfer speeds, which could significantly enhance data transfer
speeds. There are also reports that the iPhone 15 will not include Touch ID and will instead feature Qualcomm's
5G modem chips. Additionally, the iPhone 15 may make the Dynamic Island feature, previously only available on Pro
models, available on all models of the iPhone 15.
The Cupertino-based tech giant apparently plans to
replace the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the iPhone 15 Ultra.
Bloomberg's Ming-Chi Kuo had earlier claimed that the
success of Apple Watch Ultra could be the reason behind Apple's decision to change the name.

The Galaxy S23 series is expected to launch in February 2023, and it will most likely have
three devices: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. While all three phones have been spotted
on various certification platforms in the past, today, the Galaxy S23 has made a visit to two more
certification platforms, Thailand’s NBTC and India’s BIS, which reveal a few interesting details.
Previously, it was speculated that the model number of one of the variants of the Galaxy S23 is SM-S911B/DS.
However, there was no confirmation about it. Today, the same model made an appearance on Thai NBTC for certification.
Interestingly, the listing mentions that its marketing name is Galaxy S23, confirming the previous speculation about its
name and model number.
Along with NBTC, the Galaxy S23 (SM-S911B/DS) also made a visit to the BIS certification platform, which confirms that
the company is working towards bringing the smartphone to India. Considering that the Galaxy S23 is now getting certified
by different authorities, it looks like the phone’s development is complete, and the launch of the Galaxy S23 lineup is on track.
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy S23 will feature an overclocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen
2. More importantly, the phone will get the same chipset in all countries. So, hopefully, this time, you don’t have
to complain about Samsung giving special treatment to some countries and offering others with the less-capable Exynos chipset.
The previous leaks have also revealed that the Galaxy S23 will get a 3,785mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging,
and its connectivity options will include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, UWB, and NFC. Although the details about its display and camera are
scarce at the moment, expect Samsung to offer newer and improved camera sensors as well as a better screen.(know more).
Apple users in India will be able to avail 5G services in India from today with the iOS 16.2 being rolled out with the software required to access the next generation networks in India. Apple has made the public beta update of the same available for testing a month for select users. Interestingly, despite the update an iPhone 14 Pro Max on the Airtel network showed the 5G software was still not available. However, after the update users will be able to see the 5G options in network settings. With the Beta update, Apple had hoped to collect feedback about the network proficiency and resolve issues before the final software update to all users. 5G promises to give users access to faster download speeds and low latency and with it new new use cases like cloud gaming.(know more).

The year is 2009. Nvidia's GTX 295 was ruling the graphics card market, Apple had recently released the iPhone 3G, and Microsoft had announced its newest operating system, Windows 7, to high amounts of consumer praise. Users finally felt like a suitable upgrade from Windows XP had arrived, and within two years, roughly 45 percent of PC owners had installed Windows 7 on their machines. Fast forward three years, and along comes Windows 8. In case you've forgotten, Windows 8 launched without a start menu, instead focusing on a new, "modern" full screen tile design. To put its reception in context, Windows 8 barely gained a sliver of market share more than two years after its release. Following massive negative response from users, Microsoft released Windows 8.1 just a year later. While the Windows 8.1 update improved the OS, the stigma surrounding Windows 8 remained. Windows 8.1 never gained more than 20 percent of the overall Windows market share, while Windows 7 and Windows 10 both managed higher adoption rates in only eight months.(know more).
